After winning the pageant, Miss Trans Diamond 2017, more people came to know about me and they have been curious about my life. So here I am to share my story. I shifted to Bangalore a decade ago and moving from a small town to a big city was a different experience for me. My personality was different, and I was not comfortable speaking about it with my friends. I started working as a tattoo artist and eventually ventured into tattooing business. Now, I have 20 people working under me. Apart from tattooing, I am also interested in make-up. Hence I started a beauty parlour, which my sister and I manage. I believe that everybody faces difficulties and it all depends on how we overcome them. Confessing to my sister about my condition was tough, but later she accepted it, and the only thing she wanted was me to be happy. The biggest challenge for me was to face my mother. I told her that I was becoming a woman and have been taking hormones for a while. During this tough phase, the only thing that stabilised my life was yoga. I felt happy after my transformation. I got the confidence and opened up to the society after winning the crown in 2017. My family has supported me throughout my journey. Now, I want to be a role model to the people in our community. I know this will take some time, but I am sure of achieving this. My only request to the society is - people should not discriminate against us, instead accept us and help us grow.
