Dave Chappelle to Host Free Block
Party in Dayton After Mass Shooting .
Chappelle is putting on a block party called
"Gem City Shine" for the people of Dayton, Ohio, in the
wake of the mass shooting that took place on Aug. 4.
The event intends to "honor the lives lost and
to reclaim the community's favorite places to
shop, dine and enjoy time with family and friends.".
According to Dayton.com,
20,000 tickets are up for grabs.
Attendees are asked to contribute a
"minimum donation of $20" for a
commemorative t-shirt.
All proceeds will go to the tragedy fund
at the Dayton Foundation.
