13 Chinese tourists killed in Laos bus crash

A bus crash in northern Laos killed 13 Chinese tourists and injured 31 others on August 19, 2019, according to the Chinese embassy in the country. Chinese military doctors already in Laos on a joint humanitarian exercise were flown by helicopter to the northern city of Luang Prabang to help treat the injured.
