Incident one: Over a crossword puzzle and a glass of sour lemonade, Elizabeth and Alvin argue about the pet peeves that drive each other crazy. Incident two: Pulling the cord should make the drapes open and close. It proves an impossible assembly project for the couple. Incident three: Alvin's stories about his old war buddy "Bulldog" Smith has Elizabeth expecting a slob, not the perfect gentleman who shows up for a visit.
