S. Korea, U.S. renewed Mutual Airlift Support Agreement last month

Seoul and Washington renewed an deal that allows the use of private aircraft, namely Korean Air's fleet, to readily transport troops and military equipment in or near the peninsula.
The defense ministry confirmed Tuesday... the two sides extended their 2004 Mutual Airlift Support Agreement last month.
The pact has been renewed every five years.
Without disclosing further details... the ministry said there were no changes to the agreement from the latest version... and that the renewal was proceeded by exchanging written memoranda.
