The U.S. State Department has called China a "thuggish regime" for disclosing photos and personal information of a U.S. diplomat...who met with student leaders of Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement. The State Department said on Thursday that releasing personal details is not a formal protest, adding it's also not how a responsible nation should behave. Previously, a pro-Beijing Hong Kong newspaper published a photo of the U.S. diplomat talking with student leaders in a hotel lobby. The picture appeared under the headline "Foreign Forces Intervene."
