Many people are opting for a quick dive in nearby swimming pools, streams or beaches as the mercury continues to climb to scorching levels.
However, this also exposes us to many diseases, especially those that are waterborne. Many of the pathogens found at beaches are treatable, and rinsing off thoroughly with clean water can reduce the chances of infection.
Hello I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.
Seoul is finally free from a heatwave that's been boiling the city for days.
But other regions such as Daegu were particularly hot today though,... with daytime highs going above 35 degrees Celsius,... causing heatwave advisories to be upgraded into warnings.
Tomorrow, however, temperatures in the central region are expected to drop slightly thanks to the rain.
Humid conditions will continue in most parts, while the southern regions will bake again due to scorching conditions, just like Beijing.
Rain is expected to start falling in the morning,... and there are chances of heavy downpours of up to 20 millimeters of rain per hour.
Seoul kicks off Wednesday at 25 degrees Celsius,... and it will most likely the same across the nation.
The southern regions will continue to be under heatwave alerts as Daegu and Gyeongju hit 35 degrees while Busan and Jeju hit 32 degrees Celsius.
After the rain, Seoul's mercury will climb back up reaching 33 degrees by Saturday.
We'll also be experiencing tropical nights as most of the daily lows are expected to remain around 25 degrees Celsius.
I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
