The U.S. is in the final stage of reviewing its defense cost-sharing agreements,... and is likely to explain it to South Korea soon.
This according to Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency Thursday, citing a source familiar with foreign affairs.
The Blue House also said the allies' national security advisors agreed Wednesday to continue related talks in a reasonable and fair way.
While the details remain unknown, the plan will likely reflect President Trump's push for Seoul to contribute more.
The allies agreed in March that South Korea pay almost 925 million U.S. dollars for the stationing of American troops, an on-year hike of eight-point-two percent.
Both sides normally agree to five-year deals, but the latest one is only for 2019.
