Jo Swinson has been elected leader of the Liberal Democrats, beating former cabinet member Sir Ed Davey by nearly 20,000 votes. Ms Swinson said she was "delighted, honoured, absolutely over the moon" to become the party’s first female leader, and promised to do "whatever it takes to stop Brexit”. Report by Blairm.
