A record crop of onions has been produced in Korea, despite a drop in farmland that grows the vegetable. So far this year, nearly one-point-six million tons of onions have been produced - the largest amount since records began. The figure is a near five percent rise from last year. Onion prices have also plummeted recently, causing concern for farmers.
