The world's biggest biennial swimming competition has officially kicked off with a splash in Korea's southwestern city of Gwangju.
Signaling the beginning of the international aquatic event,... the opening ceremony of the 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships has ended just several minutes ago at the Gwangju Women's University Universiade Gymnasium.
Under the theme of "Fountain of Light",... the opening ceremony celebrated the world aquatic competition with a wide range of performances and music acts.
Over the course of seventeen days, some 26-hundred athletes from almost 200 countries will compete for seventy-six gold medals in six different aquatic disciplines.
