Busan Metro to run normally during commute hours despite strike

Unionized railway workers in Korea's southeastern city of Busan are going on strike today,... after talks with management failed to narrow differences over wages and hiring.
Busan Metro's labor union said its members went on strike from 5 AM, Korea time, beginning with engineers.
They will later be joined by other staff, including railway station personnel and maintenance workers.
About 24-hundred workers are due to take part, causing subway operations to slow to roughly 62 percent of the usual rate.
Metro officials say they will ensure all subway cars are running normally during the morning and evening rush hours, but passengers can expect five to six minutes of delay during off-peak hours.
