President Moon will be inviting a group of business leaders to the top office Wednesday to work on a strategy to respond to Japan's new export curbs.
A total of 34 business leaders whose combined assets total nearly 8-and-a-half billion U.S. dollars or more will be gathering at the presidential office in morning in the first meeting of its kind since January.
The attendees will include most of the leaders of the big five conglomerates,... Samsung, Hyundai Motor, SK, LG and Lotte Group.
The de facto heads of Samsung and Lotte Group, however, Lee Jae-yong and Shin Dong-bin, will not be at the meeting... because they're in Japan working on the issue there.
The focus of the meeting Wednesday is largely to get an understanding of the difficulties local businesses face and possibly to exchange views on what to do.
