Seoul's special representative for Korean peace and security affairs is set to meet with Washington's top nuclear envoy in Europe this week to discuss how to achieve North Korea's denuclearization.
The U.S. State Department says Stephen Biegun will travel to Brussels and Berlin this week, during which he will sit down Lee Do-hoon.
The department says the two will aim to "advance shared efforts to achieve the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea.
The meeting comes after U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un last Sunday held a surprise meeting at the inter-Korean border.
The two leaders agreed to resume working-level nuclear talks,... after their second summit in February failed to produce an agreement.
