Sonam Kapoor who is known in industry as Style icon and outspoken celebrity of Bollywood revealed that there was a time when no male actor wanted to work with her. Mainstream cinema of Bollywood is mainly dominated by male actors and so making a female centric film becomes a challenge.
She said, it was very difficult for her to make films like Aisha and Khoobsurat. Sonam further added, that no male actor was ready to work in Khoobsurat due to the title. So Anil Kapoor's daughter had to call Fawad Khan from Pakistan which made him a big star here.
Further Sonam adds that she has faced allegations like Girl with Sliver Spoon and Nepotism, but for her initial films 'Saawariyaan' and 'Dilli 6' she had to give multiple auditions and screenings to beg her role. So Sonam too has seen her fair share or struggle in Bollywood.
