An alliance of non-regular employees who work at elementary and secondary schools in South Korea are scheduled to go on strike from Wednesday,... a move which is expected to paralyze school lunch services at nearly four-thousand schools.
The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the majority of these schools will provide substitute food, including bread and milk to students,... while some will reduce school hours to deal with the walkout.
The alliance of non-regular school workers are calling for a basic pay increase of about six percent as well as eliminating pay discrimination.
