A mandatory 52-hour maximum work week is now in effect... for those working for bus companies, as well as finance, broadcasting and education services. Those sectors were part of industries that were given a one-year grace period to help them adjust to the shorter work week,... which first applied to firms with more than 300 workers. The rule will gradually be applied to small and medium-sized firms over the next couple of years.
