South Korea's 52-hour work week rule goes into effect today for one million workers employed in bus companies, finance, broadcasting and education services.
While the shorter workweek law came into force a year ago for firms with more than three-hundred workers,... 21 sectors were granted a one-year grace period to help them adjust.
The initiative was introduced to boost productivity and consumption through flexible work hours and extra leisure time.
The law will be introduced to medium-sized firms next year,... and small enterprises with less than 50 employess from 2021.
