In 2004, a TV journalist carried out a sting operation to expose how by paying a bribe, one could get an arrest warrant issued even against the President of India, without real cause. The subsequent arrest warrants issued against then President APJ Abdul Kalam, and Chief Justice of India at the time, and two others were later quashed by the Supreme Court.
