Warriors Star Kevin Durant
to Become a Free Agent The forward has turned down an option worth $31.5 million to
stay with Golden State. Due to issues with his quad,
he then missed nine playoff games
leading up Golden State's run to the finals. Durant returned in the championship, but soon suffered
an Achilles tendon injury that
took him out for good. Despite the injury, many teams are expected to
pursue Durant
this offseason. The Brooklyn Nets are currently
rumored to be the favorites to
land the former NBA MVP. The Warriors, who have won two titles with
Durant, are also expected to try and re-sign him.
