The total value of foreign investments in South Korea dropped in 2018 for the first time in three years,... mainly due to the depreciation of the Korean won and falling local stocks.
The Bank of Korea says foreign investment positions in South Korea were worth 1-point-1 trillion dollars last year,... down 92 billion dollars compared to 2017.
The U.S. cut down on its investments by around 55 billion dollars... and the EU by almost 18 billion.
Korea's overseas investment, on the other hand, increased over the same period, totaling 1-point-1 trillion dollars.
