Amid concerns over the safe disposal of radioactive wastewater after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster,... Korean researchers have invented a special robot that's capable of removing Cesium from the water. The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute said on Wednesday... that they invented a small underwater robot... just 7 micrometers long,... that can detect and adsorb cesium from wastewater. Cesium is a radioactive substance that's difficult to dispose... and is hazardous to human health. The institute plans to conduct additional research in the hopes of commercializing the technology by 2023.
