The top diplomats of South Korea and Russia will meet in Moscow in the coming hours to discuss various bilateral and regional issues.
After accompanying President Moon Jae-in on his trip to Northern Europe, Seoul's Foreign Affairs Minister Kang Kyung-wha landed in the Russian capital on Sunday.
Officials say Kang and her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov will delve into ways to further develop Seoul-Moscow ties as they look forward to next year's 30th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
And with Russia having promised to cooperate on economic and cultural fronts with North Korea, issues related to that could also top their agenda.
