U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says China continues to pose risks to national security,... taking a shot at Chinese telecom company Huawei.
In an interview on the Mark Levin Show this week,... Pompeo said many of China's business plans are national security projects masked as commercial projects,... taking a jab at Huawei without mentioning it by name.
Asked if Washington's allies in the region are alert to the matter,... Pompeo said "it varies",... adding that most of the world is unaware of China's plans.
On Thursday, Seoul's foreign ministry said the government will explore ways to shield military communications from any potential security risks associated with the 5G wireless network while respecting the autonomy of private companies.
