미중 기술전쟁 속 CES 아시아 개막…화웨이에 '시선집중'

This year's Consumer Electronics Show Asia kicked off in Shanghai.
The event is held amid a brewing tech war between America and China.
Kim Ji-yeon provides a glimpse of what to expect.
Some 550 companies are participating in this year's Consumer Electronics Show Asia... introducing their latest product and service developments.
This year's show focuses on the latest innovations in 5G internet connectivity, artificial intelligence, transportation technology including connected and autonomous cars... and technologies concerning virtual and augmented reality.
Some of the biggest attention grabbers are Beijing-based AI computing startup, Horizon Robotics... which hauled in some 600-million U.S. dollars in investments from the Chinese subsidiary of Korean conglomerate SK Group earlier this year... as well as Chinese AI company iFlytek.
Also, Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies, which has been blacklisted by the U.S.,... introduced its stellar AI product that can control all daily hardware devices including mobile phones, TVs, personal computers and glasses.
Huawei's chief strategy officer Shao Yang gave a keynote speech... unveiling the company's plans to become a frontrunner in the field of Internet-of-Things... based on 5G and AI technologies.
He said all big tech changes are like a game to the courageous... and the one that survives the brutal competition will be on the forefront of a new chapter in history... while the loser will become isolated and walk out.
Although he didn't mention the U.S. blacklisting directly ... the remark is seen as Huawei's willingness to continue developing its products despite the unprecedented external challenges it faces right now.
