In the age of Digital where the boundaries of region of Hollywoo Bollywood seems to be disappearing, Mega star Amitabh Bachchan has done a film with super star Leonardo Dicaprio in 'The Great Gatsby'. Multiple actors like AAishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan or Priyanka Chopra have done international films.
Amitabh actually did a special appearance in 2013 Romantic Hollywood drama 'The Great Gatsby' where his scene was with Leonardo. In this film while Caprio was the main lead, Mr. Big B appeared as a Great German Meyer Wolfsheim who is a mentor to Gatsby (Leonardo) in the film. Amit Sir's role was a short one but was a highly impact one to the film. Amitabh believes this Cameo as a friendly gesture not some Hollywood Debut, but feels if any great script comes up he would surely want to take it.
Talking about this cameo in an interview he shared - I don't look upon it as my Hollywood debut. It is just a friendly gesture and nothing more. It is just a small scene with Gatsby and his friend, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. Meyer Wolfsheim is looked upon as some kind of mentor to Gatsby in the story".
