The South Korean film 'Parasite,' which last weekend won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival, was shown for the first time in Korea at a press screening this afternoon.
And in a press conference afterwards, director Bong Joon-ho and the main actors shared their thoughts on the film and their excitement about meeting local movie fans.
The screening and press event took place ahead of its general release in Korea this Thursday.
'Parasite' is a black comedy about a young man from a poor family who becomes a tutor to the daughter of a rich family.
Expectations are high among local movie fans, with presales in Korea reaching around 260-thousand tickets as of this afternoon.
