According to UPI, new research shows that older passengers who are involved in a car accident may have a higher risk of heart failure or stroke following the crash. Researchers found that the risk of a cardiovascular event increased for people age 65 and older who were riding in vehicles that hit pedestrians, compared to the risk for the pedestrians.
