Ieoh Ming Pei, commonly known as I.M. Pei, died on May 16, 2019, at age 102. The Chinese-born US architect became famous for his modern designs and high-profile projects,  including the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris, the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar.
