Ankita participated in Miss India 2011 pageant and emerged as the Miss India International 2011 [2] winner, where Kanishtha Dhankar was crowned the Miss India World. Miss India International 2010 and then reigning Miss India International 2010, Neha Hinge crowned her at the end of the pageant.
