Mufti Muneeb said first Roza (fasting) will be observed on Tuesday.

He said the announcement about not sighting of the Ramazan moon was being made in consensus with ulema and experts.

“From nowhere in the country a Shara’e testimony was received,” he said.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had on Sunday barred the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) from making any prediction regarding moon sighting saying that the department’s prediction created confusion among masses.
