Bs. As .: 100 years fulfills the Military College of the Nation that was born to life on October 11, 1869. Since then phalanges of young people full of illusions were formed in the thriving institute. Domingo Faustino Sarmiento was its creator and in San Benito de Palermo, on this site, he had his first barracks where he was the stately residence of Juan Manuel de Rosas, naming director Colonel Juan Czetz, a veteran warrior in the struggle for the emancipation of his homeland , the legendary Hungary. A teenager named Ramon Falcon was the first applicant in 1870 and his name figured in the initial promotion of 1873. Young officers for a young Argentine showed the astonished population of the time the results of austere discipline. In 1872 the school was transferred to San Martin where today is the Military Lyceum. At that time, the solemn vow that the boss asks the troop with the formula "subordination and courage" to which it responds "to defend the country" began at the time of application in the establishment. It was the year 1937 and the Military College was installed in El Palomar where now in emotional ceremony at the end of the first centenary were transferred and deposited in his new chapel the remains of its first director, Colonel Juan Czetz. This was also a tribute to all those who directed this house with efficiency and patriotic spirit, to those who were its instructors and professors, to those who graduated from their classrooms consecrated their lives to the service of the country, to those who were trained in their walls died in their holocaust. The 100 years of life of the Military College of the Nation mark a course that is part of the culture of our country. 100 years are witnesses of a greater commitment that begins with the name and its faith and that continues with an exalting path, that of duty.
