Buses in Seoul will get a slight upgrade to keep you from accidentally paying your fare twice. Starting next month, card readers will let you know you paid with a verbal message instead of just a single beep and will also have guidance in English. If the card isn't tagged properly, the reader will show a red X and ask you to try again. The city says some customers have paid twice when they didn't realize that their card had worked and so tagged it again.
