U.S. equities were mixed on Monday as Wall Street braced for corporate results in a busy earnings week.
At closing bell, stocks on Wall Street hovered near break-even as the benchmark S&P 500 index was about one-percent away from September's record-high... boosted in part by largely positive earnings in a market that had sharply lowered its expectations across the board.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell nearly two-tenths of a percent to 26-thousand-5-hundred-11-point-oh-five. The S&P 500 gained point-ten percent to close at 29-oh-seven-point-nine-seven.
The Nasdaq added a bit more than two tenths of a percent to 8,015.27.
Overnight in Korean stock exchange, the benchmark KOSPI inched up two-hundredth of a percent to end trading at two-thousand-216-point-65.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell slightly, losing point-07 percent, to close at 762-point-01.
