In the West, it's commonly assumed that reincarnation is just a "nice thought," or a faith-based belief with no real evidence to support it. But there is actually a substantial body of evidence to support the idea of reincarnation, and though it has remained on the fringes of mainstream scientific thought, it promises to overthrow a number of common assumptions about consciousness and the nature of the human mind.
