Auto production, sales and exports fall on-year in March

Production, domestic sales and exports of autos all fell last month.
The trade ministry said Wednesday auto production dropped over five percent on-year in March to 343-thousand units, mainly due to fewer working days and the series of labor strikes that hit Renault Samsung Motors.
Domestic car sales fell near six percent.
Exports also fell over three percent to 214-thousand units last month due to sluggish sales in the Middle East and the EU.
Renault Samsung Motors in particular, saw its exports nose-dive over 60 percent on-year.
