Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was removed from the Ecuadorian embassy, bringing to an end his 7-year long stay in the building and his asylum status. The Met Police has said that he was arrested for failing to surrender to the court. According to Ecuador’s president Lenin Moreno, his asylum was withdrawn after his repeated violations to international conventions.
