S. Korea to start excavating war remains on April 1 without N. Korea

South Korea will start removing landmines and excavating remains of those killed from the Korean War in the DMZ next Monday.
The plan was to do it with North Korea, but the North hasn't been responding.
In their military agreement last September, the two sides had agreed to excavate war remains starting April 1st.
Seoul had sent Pyeongyang a list of the team it plans to send to the DMZ site in early March but there's been no reply.
South Korea's defense ministry says if North Korea unexpectedly turns out on Monday, it will be ready to work together.
