Meanwhile the chairman of Korea's third biggest conglomerate, SK Group, has managed to hold on to his board seat despite opposition from the NPS. That's Chey Tae-won. He will not, however, be chair of the board. Shareholders today voted instead for the President of Korea University, Yeom Jae-ho, to serve as chair. The NPS has been opposing either one of them from having a seat,... claiming that Chey had undermined corporate values and shareholder interests... and because Yeom was an old classmate of Chey's.
