Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday. His entry into the ruling party came three months after he categorically rejected rumours about him joining politics.Gambhir joined the party in the presence of Union ministers Arun Jaitley and Ravi Shankar Prasad in New Delhi. The Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11. There is speculation that Gambhir will be given a seat to contest from.
लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 के मद्देनजर केंद्र में सत्तासीन भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए शुक्रवार को बड़ी खबर आई है। क्रिकेटर गौतम गंभीर ने दिल्ली में एक सादे कार्यक्रम के दौरान भारतीय जनता पार्टी (BJP) की सदस्यता ग्रहण कर ली है। उऩ्होंने केंद्रीय मंत्रियों अरुण जेटली और रविशंकर प्रसाद की मौजूदगी गौतम गंभीर में भाजपा की सदस्यता ली। इस मौके पर गौतम गंभीर ने कहा- 'मैं पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी के विजन से प्रभावित होकर भाजपा में शामिल हो रहा हूं। इससे जुड़ने का अवसर पाकर मैं सम्मानित महसूस कर रहा हूं।
