EU conditionally backs Brexit delay
EU leaders have agreed to British Prime Minister Theresa May's request to delay the Brexit process, postponing the divorce date beyond March 29th.
After a summit in Brussels Thursday, EU leaders allowed Brexit to be delayed until May 22nd, if Mrs. May's withdrawal agreement is passed by British MPs in a vote next week.
If the deal is not approved, the European Council says an extension until April 12th will apply, giving the UK time to get the deal through.
May again called on UK lawamkers to pass her deal in order to put an end to what she called "uncertainty".
