Every World Cup is known for left-field tactical moves and young Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vijay Shankar could well be the ‘joker in the pack’ if the Indian team management decides to try him at the tricky number four position in the upcoming World Cup.Heading into the 2019 edition in England, India is faced with the No.4 conundrum and a clearer picture will possibly emerge after the first three weeks of the IPL. The squad will be announced between April 15 to 20.

विश्व कप 2019 की टीम को लेकर कई चौकाने वाले फैसले लिये जाते रहे है और इसी क्रम में भारतीय टीम प्रबंध तमिलनाडु के ऑलराउंडर विजय शंकर को आगामी टूर्नामेंट में चौथे नंबर पर आजमा सकता है। इससे पहले भी 2003 विश्व कप में भारतीय टीम ने दिग्गज वीवीएस लक्ष्मण की जगह दिनेश कार्तिक को मौका दिया था जो स्पिन गेंदबाजी करने वाले ऑलराउंडर थे। भारत में 2011 में हुये विश्व कप में युवराज सिंह ने पांचवें गेंदबाज की भूमिका निभाई और टूर्नामेंट में 15 विकेट चटकाने में सफल रहे।
