What happened in Uttar Pradesh's Dadri seems to have impacted the hustings in the run up to the Bihar polls. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav took a swipe at the BJP over what he calls an "attempt to communalise the nation" over beef.
Hitting out at the BJP, the RJD chief said "Hindus eat beef, so do Indians living abroad. For someone who consumes meat on a regular basis, it does not matter if it is beef or mutton".
