A story of inhuman torture comes to light from Kolkata. A 12-year-old girl from North 24 Parganas who was working as a domestic help was rescued from north Kolkata. She was that she would be paid Rs. 3000 per month but all that she got was physical assault. When there was no trace of the girl at her workplace, family members started suspecting that there was something amiss. The girl was finally traced at a relative's house of the employer. There were at least 150-odd cigarette burn marks on her face and body.
