SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said that a smear campaign was being run against the party's government in UP. Citing the example of Badaun rape case, he said it was blown out of proportion. Speaking at a function to distribute free e-rickshaws, the SP boss said that there were instances where only one person committed rape but the victim named four people merely to settle scores.
He also added that while one person commits a rape, rape by four persons is not practically possible.
