Goa MLA Babush Monserrate, accused of raping a minor, was on Thursday arrested by the state police. The Goa lawmaker had earlier surrendered, citing a 'set-up' against him. Late on Wednesday, Monserrate, also known as Babush, was booked by officials of the Panaji police station, for allegedly raping a minor girl, who was earlier his employee.
