An HIV positive woman, who suffered injuries in a road accident, was allegedly turned down by two government hospitals in Howrah and Kolkata.
Howrah District Hospital admitted her after a person intervened, but there she was allegedly kept overnight near the toilet of a ward, next to where a body was kept.
The Howrah chief medical officer (health) expressed shock over the incident and said that he would get her admitted on Wednesday.
