Adultery verdict: Supreme Court strucks down Indian Penal Code Section 497.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक और बड़े फैसले की. जिसके मुताबिक अब पति, पत्नी और 'वो' का रिश्ता अपराध नहीं रहा. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अडल्टरी यानी व्यभिचार को अपराध के दायरे से बाहर कर दिया है. कोर्ट ने IPC की धारा 497 में अडल्टरी को अपराध बताने वाले प्रावधान को असंवैधानिक करार दिया. चीफ जस्टिस दीपक मिश्रा, जस्टिस ए.एम. खानविलकर, जस्टिस इंदु मल्होत्रा, जस्टिस चंद्रचूड़ और जस्टिस आरएफ नरीमन की पांच जजों की बेंच ने एकमत से यह फैसला सुनाया.
