West Bengal: 13 year old beaten for borrowing pen in class

A teacher of St. Aloysius School in West Bengal was arrested for beating up a 13-year-old boy black and blue during class hours for borrowing pen. The student of eighth standard sustained severe injuries on shoulder and is suffering from high fever.
Father of the teenager, Deepak Khater, said the teacher beat his son with steel scale. Meanwhile, school in-charge, Sister Hilda, said the school authorities were unaware of the incident but will suspend the teacher with immediate effect. Complaint was registered at Golabari police station of Howrah district.
