Three days after an under-construction building came crashing down in Chennai, the death toll has risen to 26. Meanwhile, 27 people have been rescued so far.

Four workers were pulled out alive on Tuesday morning. But over 20 are still trapped under the debris. NDRF teams are continuing with search operations.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has blamed the builder for violating all norms. The police have arrested six people including the real estate developer for negligence.

Officials say the second 11-storey building under construction is also unsafe and they have cordoned off that building too.
